Team Spencer is a competitive, amateur, masters level, co-ed Water Polo club based out of St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, NJ. The club was founded in 2023 and named in memory of beloved alumnus, player, coach, and friend, Spencer Vespole.
Location
We practice at St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, NJ. The address is 520 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Newark, NJ 07102. Practice is generally held on Saturdays at 11am at St. Benedict's pool, all year round. Please double-check the schedule before attending.
Details & Fees
- There are no team or practice fees.
- Players must be 18+
- Skills range from beginner to former NCAA Division 1, with most having at least some high school or college club experience.
- No prior water polo experience is required, but strong swimming ability is strongly encouraged.
- We compete at masters tournaments primarily in the Northeast region and mostly during the summer and fall.
- You will need an active USAWP membership to participate in the tournaments. Membership is not needed for practice.
- Tournament attendance is completely optional. Tournament fees vary by location and attendance.
- We do not cut! We play to win at tournaments, but if you just want to swing by occasionally, get a workout in, and have some fun; you're welcome to join us!
